Nicole Luchanski

Nicole Luchanski grew up playing baseball in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She played on otherwise male teams for Confederation Park Little League, Northeast Zone Baseball, and South Edmonton Elite Baseball Association (SEEBA) Midget AAA. Luchanski has been a member of the Baseball Alberta girls/women's provincial team since 2003 and has been named the annual Most Valuable Player six times. She attended St. Francis Xavier High School's baseball academy and was named to the Baseball Canada Women's National Team at age 16, and has since competed in five World Cups. 

Luchanski has a degree in Forestry from the University of Alberta and worked on Vancouver Island following graduation. She moved back to Edmonton in 2015 to train full time for the debut of women's baseball in the Pan Am Games (Toronto, July 2015). Canada captured silver and she was named team MVP. Luchanski is now preparing for the 2016 World Cup in Gijang City, South Korea.
